I wasn’t going to join in with today’s IaVoM, but a sliver of sun on the return from the dog walk made me feel a little more ‘springy’, so I popped into the garden to see if there was anything simple I could plonk in a vase.
I settled on this gorgeous dark hellebore which, amazingly, is holding her head high. I popped her in my perfect little single stem vase (bought by the sister, but named for the mother!) and there we are.
And why bruised? Well, apart from the colour, having avoided the flu I’ve now got a dodgy shoulder and the physio recommended exercises are certainly leaving me feeling rather bruised. All in a good cause I’m sure, but pretty damned sore along the way!
A ray of light (or indeed dark) in what’s now a grey old day!
With thanks to Cathy at Rambling in the Garden who hosts all our Monday vases.
