IMG_2873Mushy alert – those of a cynical disposition look away now!

So Friday was my 27th Wedding Anniversary (child bride you know!) and what better way to mark it than by arranging roses in a rose bowl, bought by my sister and me for our parents’ 25th Wedding Anniversary?

Clearly life isn’t quite that perfect, and the weekend passed without any roses in rose bowls, but thanks to the joys of ‘In a vase on Monday’ the moment has now arrived.  And I can share it with you all long before the OH staggers back from the golf course.  Ah, the secret of a happy marriage – ‘apartness’!

as well two lovely, inherited roses I don’t know the names of.  They’re both scented.  Any clues?  By the front stepsIMG_2869

    We have a similar ‘secret’!! Mushy or not, don’t they look lovely together and what a good excuse to pick them and bring them inside – will OH (Other Half?) ask why you have a vase like this…? They must smell beautiful… and I need to investigate mine as something in it DOESN’T smell beautiful…. Thanks for joining in again – lovely to have you!

    Happy Anniversary! A child bride were you? That’ s what I used to say. I don’ t have to any more.
    I love the colours of your roses. They are all gorgeous. Such a pretty arrangement and very romantic.

      Thanks Chloris. Well maybe not ‘child’ but can’t quite believe how young I was.
      Big birthday coming up, you can, as they say across the water, ‘do the math’ !

      Thanks Susie. The Snow Geese are already opening which is changing the look – not better or worse, just different. Don’t you just love flowers?!

    You must have a lot of roses – they look beautiful in that silver bowl. And happy anniversary to you! I have a few years of marriage on you and also just celebrated a milestone birthday – it happens to all of us (if we’re lucky!).
